Our selection ranges from a classic
tapered-leg bench that can be assembled from one of our kits, to an
ornately carved and gilded cabriole leg bench.
In between there are
many choices both in custom finishes and kit form: Louis XVI Bench with
Turned & Fluted Legs, 18th Century English Mahogany Bench with Turned
Legs; or the 17th Century Flemish Style Bench with Balustre Turnings
and Carved Feet.
The poplar
benches are intended for painting. Their seats are made from hardwood-edged,
birch-faced plywood. The premium wood varieties come with solid
hardwood seats breadboarded at each end. All benches have solid
hardwood legs and rails. Except for the Louis XV Cabriole Bench,
all benches have a music/tool storage space under the hinged seat.
